Winona-Ryder
Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name for Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was who was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter after her hometown. Michel Horowitz is her father and Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is a Jewish. Ryder believes that her father came from a Jewish family. She is also half-sister to Sunyata Jubal. Ryder's younger brother is Uria. Ryder's family moved from Mendocino County, California at the age of 7 years old. There they didn't have electricity. Ryder read a lot due to the lack of television. In 1983 when she was 12 years old, Ryder was accepted into the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. In the year she turned 15years old, Ryder was offered her very first role on screen, in Lucas. Ryder faced bullying during her time in high school. She hoped that her career in acting would alter that. But, unfortunately, that didn't take place. Still, she kept chasing her goals. Her biggest break was in 1988 when she appeared in Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder continued to play successful roles in a variety of films. In 1993 she won an Oscar Prize in the film The Age of Innocence.
