Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial music producer and singer, who mixes soul gospel jazz and R&B in a signature mix. From Broadway to European clubs and festivals, Sunshine has performed all over the world. Sunshine has the name Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical path began at church, where she sang and was a pianist. After attending Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You the House, was released only in Japan. The song has been remixed several times, and has become a staple of her live shows. Also, she contributed to The Fighting Temptations soundtrack. In 2005, she was commissioned as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage production Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award winner) approached her for a position as choral conductor of Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally through her performances on four consecutive days during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing at President Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration.
